Ritual of Self: Isaiah Zagar Self Portraits on Paper

Isaiah Zagar, founder of Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, is widely known for his large-scale public mosaics. However, his full body of work also includes thousands of drawings, paintings, prints, and mixed media creations.

Between 1976 and 1993, Zagar worked daily on a self-portrait series and produced over 2,400 pieces during that time. This paperback book includes 74 of those self-portraits, a tiny slice of a staggeringly large collection.
